Awards for architecture continue to grow, and grow across the globe. While the spectre of individual architects overshadows the Pritzker Prize, Mies van der Rohe Award and the RIBA Royal Gold Medal, a diversity of team players get the guernsey in the recent bloom of awards: World Architecture Festival, International Architecture Awards and the Global Award For Sustainable Architecture. In the diagram below, Simon Pennec, curatorial coordinator at the Canadian Centre of Architecture, marks out the commencement of various awards against economic growth.
