Christie Parksafe barbecues have been reinstated in the Kinglake National Park, after the 2009 fires

Christie Parksafe barbecues were developed to discourage the dumping of camp fire coals and open barbecues, which leave many natural environments permanently damaged. Parks Victoria chose to install Christie Parksafe barbecues at Kinglake to ensure they could never cause a fire. And now, after the bushfires that devastated Kinglake National Park in 2009, they are replacing them, for the same reason.

Every Christie Parksafe barbecue – either gas or high efficiency electric – is fully enclosed and self-contained, with no exposed flames or sparks. The stainless steel hotplate cooks food perfectly, and cleaning of the cooktops is simple. Read more about Christie Parksafe barbecues on Selector.com.
