Enware taps feature in Mercury Building transformation

Custom made raw brass taps by Enware feature in the restoration of Hobart’s iconic Mercury Building.

The former newspaper office is heritage-listed, and has most recently been used to house art galleries, restaurants and a creative industries hub.

Architect Ryan Strating was involved in the design of a restaurant space in the basement of the building. He said that he chose the tapware based on its robust and timeless design, and because of the character it adds to the space.

The design incorporated the industrial past of the building into its new look, with the raw brass taps serving as an important feature.
