Palomino chair

Released in August 2013, the Palomino chair by Ivan Woods for Schiavello, is a scaled-down sibling of the sculptural Paloma chair collection, also by Ivan Woods. Palomino has a single upholstered plywood shell, contoured for body comfort, and comes with several timber or steel base options, lending itself to a variety of commercial or domestic spaces.

Woods uses restrained lines and fine detailing to give emotive qualities and robust personalities to a piece. Currently based in Melbourne, he has designed interiors and furniture for over twenty years, working on projects in the UK, Germany, Italy and the USA. Some of his other collections for Schiavello – one of Australia’s largest manufacturers of designer commercial furniture – include Toro, Kayt, and Tangier.
