Paul Cocksedge Studio’s vinyl speakers.

London-based Paul Cocksedge Studio is turning old twelve-inch vinyls into speakers by heating and moulding the old vinyls into a shape that amplifies without the need for wires or electricity. Weighing approximately 350 grams, the speakers sit on an acrylic stand and and are twenty centimetres high and thirty centimetres in diameter.

Further details are available on the Paul Cocksedge Studio website. To order a speaker, for approximately AU$55 excluding postage, email info@paulcocksedgestudio.com.

Paul Cocksedge Studio is the design practice of directors Paul Cocksedge and Joana Pinho. Known for its design of concepts, installations, public art and exclusive interior objects, the studio explores the limits of technology in order to create unique design experiences. With an interdisciplinary approach and an acute sense of quality, Paul Cocksedge Studio reinvents contemporary design as an event.
