Print Weave Make
Three Melbourne cultural organisations – Australian Print Workshop, Australian Tapestry Workshop and Craft – collaborate for the first time to present Print Weave Make, a series of three open days in November 2012, showcasing the best in printmaking, tapestry, craft and design.
Over three consecutive Saturdays (10, 17, 24 November 2012) visitors can do more than simply tour exhibitions, they can participate in workshop programs by printmakers, weavers and craftspeople, in Fitzroy, Flinders Lane and South Melbourne where each of the organizations has its base.
Print Open Day
Learn about the Australian Print Workshop’s different printmaking processes, meet artists and see an exhibition of limited edition prints. The day includes demonstrations in etching lithography and relief printing with APW printers Chris Ingham, Martin King and Simon White.

Weave Open Day
Explore the Australian Tapestry Workshop’s galleries, watch the weavers in action or take a guided tour and meet visiting artists, Bern Emmerichs, Sue Batten and John Young. The day includes a weaving class for children.

Make Open Day – Craft
Meet celebrated Melbourne jewellers Anna Davern and Claire McArdle, who will be making some individual pieces and answering questions about craft.
