Shoot the (Qld) Architect Portrait Prize
The 2012 Shoot the Architect Portrait Prize was announced at the Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Chapter office on 7 December 2012.
The brief was to create a unique portrait of a Queensland architect and entries were judged in categories for professional and amateur photographers by Professor Peter Skinner (FRAIA, Immediate Past President, Queensland Chapter AIA), Spencer Howson (breakfast host, Brisbane ABC Radio) and John Lomas (portrait photographer and international judge).
Architects in the winning portraits were: Robert Riddel, Paul Chrismas, Amy Degenhart, Peter Roy and Architecture Practice Academy, Tim Stewart, Angus Munro, David Teeland, Michael Rayner, Roger Heathwood and Nick Harvey. An exhibition of finalists will be on display at the Australian Institute of Architects, 70 Merivale Street in South Brisbane from 7 December until the end of January 2013.
The portrait prize winners for the professional and amateur categories and those highly commended will be published in Architecture Australia in January 2013.
