The winner of the Shoot the Architect competition, an initiative of the Australian Institute of Architects’ Queensland Chapter, is Roger D’Souza, for his portrait of Queensland architects Adrian Spence and Ingrid Richards, of Spence & Richards.
The announcement was made in tandem with an exhibition of the 2011 finalists, held at the Queensland Chapter offices in South Brisbane on 25 November. Along with the award for the winner, four Highly Commended awards were given.
The inaugural Shoot the Architect competition was open to all professional photographers in Queensland. The goal was to shoot a portrait of a Queensland-based architect that showed photographic and artistic skill, and playful imagination.
