Suters and ARTAS to design Blundstone Arena

Suters Architects will partner with ARTAS Architects on the redevelopment of Hobart’s Blundstone Arena, also known as Bellerive Oval.

The architects will collaborate with Cricket Tasmania on the redevelopment, which will increase the venue’s seating capacity to 20,000 to cater for larger national and international tours. The new structure will include a new entry, stand, elite sports training facilities, gym and rehabilition facilities, and will connect with the refurbished members’ stand.

The upgrade to Blundstone Arena is expected to be complete in 2015.

Suters Architects and ARTAS Architects are currently collaborating on the Devonport Aquatic Centre, which is due for completion in 2013.
