The Nest at Designex presents work by talented Australian independent designers and design collectives in a commercial context. It is curated by Anne-Maree Sargeant, one of Australia’s leading design consultants and journalists who is recognized globally for her work in promoting emerging designers.

Representing a variety of disciplines, from furniture and lighting to industrial design, The Nest discovers future talent while also celebrating known designers. “It is an incredible opportunity for exposure for these designers, but it’s just as exciting for the attendees who have the opportunity to become early adopters of the work of our potential future icons,” says Sargeant.

The group of twenty independent Australian designers and design collectives whose new work is featured in The Nest 2012 includes Blakebrough+King, Charles Wilson, Alexander Lotersztain, DesignByThem and Adam Cornish.

Designex 2012 will take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from 14 to 16 May.
