TP coat stand by Ivan Woods for Schiavello is a statement of simplicity. Released in August 2013, the piece is also reminiscent of tribal iconography and teepee structures. Made from American oak in a three-leg or four-leg configuration, the coat stand is braced with two utility trays in steel, and optional intermediate hooks.
Woods uses restrained lines and fine detailing to give emotive qualities and robust personalities to a piece. Currently based in Melbourne, he has designed interiors and furniture for over twenty years, working on projects in the UK, Germany, Italy and the USA. Some of his other collections for Schiavello – one of Australia’s largest manufacturers of designer commercial furniture – include Toro, Kayt, and Tangier.
