The 2015 Australian Landscape Conference will be held in Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 18-22 September.
In an increasingly urbanised world, with more people living in cities for the first time in history, people are becoming estranged from nature.
The conference will explore art and nature as principal themes for landscapes and gardens.
The conference program includes a series of keynote presentations from a range of speakers around the world, as well as workshops from leading experts in design ad horticulture.
Speakers are:
- Tim Entwisle, director and chief executive of RBG Victoria
- Jason Basson, Scape Landscape (France)
- Viesturs Cielens, designer, gardener and landscape planner (South Australia)
- Thomas Doxiadis, Doxiadis+ (Greece)
- Phillip Johnson, landscape designer (Victoria)
- Xavier Perrot, Cao Perrot Studio (France)
- Martin Rein-Cano, Topotek1 (Germany)
- Diana Wiesner, landscape architect (Colombia)
- Peter Watts AM, architect and landscape architect (Victoria)
Other highlights of the program also include a garden tour of the Dandenong Ranges and a Speakers’ Dinner at the Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club.
