Presented by Architecture Media, Housing Futures is a one-day symposium where speakers will explore esidential architecture across all scales, locations and types including apartment living and aged, multigenerational and student housing. The keynote presentations will be interwoven with moderated panel discussions that draw on the experience and expertise of industry leaders

As housing density increases and the sharing economy grows, today’s architects are faced with new challenges. How can we harness these complexities to create housing models that will
benefit the financial, social and environmental future of our cities?

The symposium will feature international and local keynote speakers and a panel discussion where audience participation is encouraged.

The keynote speakers are

• Jo McCafferty, director of Levitt Bernstein (London)
• Stephen Pimbley, founding director of SPARK Architects (Singapore)
• Jean-Christophe Masson, founding director of Hamonic + Masson & Associatés (Paris)
• Kerry Clare, director of Clare Design (Sydney/Brisbane)

As well, the forum will also present a number of case studies on:

• Multi-generational housing by Suzanne Benn, professor of sustainable enterprise at University of Technology, Sydney
• Suburban housing by Christopher Kelly, principal of Architecture Workshop (Wellington)
• Student housing by Graham Burrows, director of Jackson Clements Burrows Architects (Melbourne)

The forum will take place before the 2016 Houses Awards presentation, to be held that evening.
