James Yuncken presents Places Nearby, an exhibition capturing scenes of inner Melbourne 2 – 13 September at fortyfivedownstairs.

Places Nearby is Yuncken’s perceptions of Melbourne, post-cultural-cringe, from places near his home and studio, reflecting city’s self-assuredness.

Yuncken has been exhibiting in Melbourne for over twenty years, having studied under Christopher Croft of the Graphic Investigation Dept, Canberra School of Art and doing his master classes with Graham Nickson of the New York Studio School. He also has degrees in science, law and computing.
