New Spaces: Australian Architects and Asia

The Art Gallery of NSW is hosting a lecture series featuring talks from Australian architects about their Asia-related work from Saturday 13 February to Saturday 12 March 2016.

The lectures will be held each Saturday from 2–3pm during the period, and feature speakers including landscape architect Peter Nowland, architectural photographer John Gollings, Johnson Pilton Walker director Richard Johnson, architect Andrew Burns and Cox director John Richardson.

The scheduled lectures are as follows:

Saturday 13 February – Asian infusion: the traditions of the Chinese garden by Peter Nowland

Saturday 20 February – The architecture of Hampi and its impact on my work by John Gollings

Saturday 27 February – Japan and my practice by Richard Johnson

Saturday 5 March – Landscapes and interiors of Asia and contemporary response by Andrew Burns

Saturday 12 March – Inspirations from Iran by John Richardson.
