Join architects Peter Stutchbury and Graham Nottle of Arkhefield as they discuss with their clients how they negotiated issues of site, climate, sustainability, history and context to create two of Sydney most striking new homes.
Light House by the architect behind the 2014 Houses Awards’ Australian House of the Year, Peter Stutchbury, was created for clients Odette Gourley and Leigh Brown. The conversation will explore the design process for this home, giving insight from both the architect and the client’s point of view. The Light House, like much of Peter’s work, celebrates and engages with the Australian landscape.
Brisbane-based Graham Nottle of Arkhefield will share how a collaboration with long-distance client Daniela Turrin resulted in a texturally rich Hunters Hill House – a house that looks inwardly, establishing a nurturing environment with generous flowing space and long sight lines to its garden.
