Two architects and their clients share their stories of how they transformed traditional inner-city terrace houses into homes that reflect the way we live today.
Juliet Moore of Edwards Moore will discuss the Light Box, a terrace house in Melbourne’s Carlton North that has been reconsidered as a set of connected spaces to make it feel bigger and brighter.
Shaun Carter of Carterwilliamson Architects will explore how the Light Cannon House in Sydney’s Annandale was reconfigured from a small and narrow home into a cathedral-like spatial experience.
Light Box and Light Cannon House are both featured in the new book The Terrace House: Reimagined for the Australian Way of Life, published by Thames and Hudson and edited by Cameron Bruhn and Katelin Butler.
The Terrace House celebrates the enduring appeal of these well-loved buildings. The book can be pre-ordered at the event.
