Prefabrication and the future of Australian construction

A series of lectures being held by PrefabAUS during April will explore the future of prefabrication for the Australian construction industry while reflecting on international trends.

Keynote speaker Amy Marks, president and owner of US company XSite Modular, will provide insight into her experiences advising clients on a large range of projects. The company’s projects have included healthcare buildings, hotels and government buildings, as well as data centres and modular cable landing stations.

A discussion between a panel of experts will follow the keynote speech, including David Chandler and Rod Fehring.

David Chandler is a former member of the CSIRO Construction Engineering and Mining Advisory Board who helped to establish the Australian Institute of Project Management.

Rod Fehring is the current executive general manager of residential at Australand.

The events are being held on the following dates:

  • Monday 13 April - Sydney, breakfast lecture
  • Tuesday 14 April - Brisbane, breakfast lecture
  • Tuesday 14 April - Melbourne, evening lecture
  • Thursday 16 April - Adelaide, lunch lecture
