Worth keeping? Valuing recent architecture
Seventy-one buildings have been awarded the Sir John Sulman Medal since 1932. But what happens ten, twenty or thirty years after the prize-giving, when alterations, additions or even demolition are proposed? What is the value of the Sulman Medal then?
Speakers will discuss the Australian Institute of Architects’ role as custodian of architecture, the Sir John Sulman Medal and case studies of past recipients. Followed by participant discussion. Participation will earn CPD points.
The event will run from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm at a cost of $75 for Australian Institute of Architects members and $150 for non-members. To register your interest, visit the Australian Institute of Architects website.
