Artist, activist and author Bonney Djuric is the founder of Parragirls – Parramatta Female Factory Precinct Memory Project and a former occupant of the Parramatta Girls Home. She has campaigned for years in calling for the preservation, restoration and appropriate utilization of the precinct’s historical institutions. In 2011 she prepared the National Heritage List nomination for the Parramatta Female Factory Precinct. Bonney’s advocacy on behalf of the Parramatta Female Factory Precinct, Parramatta Girls and Forgotten Australians has been acknowledged in state and federal parliaments.
