Cameron Logan

Cameron Logan a research fellow in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne where he is part of an ARC funded research project on the history of school design in Australia. His research interests include the social politics of neighbourhood preservation and restoration; the conceptual problems related to the conservation and demolition of modern buildings; and changing ideas of monumentality and historicity from the nineteenth century onwards.

He has published articles on urban history, heritage conservation and architectural history in the Urban History Review, The Journal of Architecture and the APT Bulletin among other venues and is currently working on two book projects, an urban history of Washington, D.C., and an architectural history of the modern hospital.
