Design Collective: art carpet series

The Design Collective is a collaboration between artists lending aesthetic vision from Singapore, France and Australia and specialist carpet manufacturer 1956 by Tai Ping. Released in August 2013, their first joint series – Design Collective – is designed specifially for hospitality specifiers seeking bespoke carpet rugs or broadloom carpet. ncludes the ethereal underwater-inspired Archipelago series by Gaëlle Villedary of France, vibrant surrealism by Singapore collective PHUNK (Alvin Tan, Melvin Chee, Jackson Tan, and William Chan) in their Empire of Dreams series, and a third series called LOST using complex linear abstractions and deeply saturated colours.

1956 by Tai Ping is a specialist manufacturer of high-end commercial carpeting worldwide, supplying woven Axminster, hand-tufted and machine-tufted carpets and carpet tiles. The company carries ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, CRI Indoor Air Quality Green Label certification, and NSF140 Platinum accreditation.
