AIDA Show and Tell with Cox Architecture: Sydney Coliseum Theatre

In this next instalment of AIDA: Show and Tell, director Cox Architecture Brooke Lloyd talks through the approach and process of designing Sydney Coliseum Theatre, a 2000-seat performance centre that has established itself as a new cultural hub in the centre of burgeoning Western Sydney. The theatre’s atrium and undulating layers demonstrate why it took home the award for Public Design in the 2020 Australian Interior Design Awards.

The AIDA: Show and Tell video series celebrates the winners of the 2020 Australian Interior Design Awards, which were announced on 29 May.

The Australian Interior Design Awards is a partnership event of the Design Institute of Australia and Artichoke magazine. The 2020 awards were supported by Dulux, Elton Group, Signorino, Space Furniture, Sub-Zero and Wolf, Laminex, Novas, and Oblica.
