Architeam Awards finalists announced

Architeam Cooperative, an organization representing small architecture practices, has announced the finalists of its 2020 Architeam Awards.

The 130 entries across five primary categories were judged by a jury comprising chair Kate Fitzgerald (Whispering), Norman Day (Norman Day + Associates), Kate Fitzpatrick (Auhaus), Tamsin O’Neil (Green Magazine), John Ellway (John Ellway Architect), Andy Fergus and Rachel Neeson (Neeson Murcutt and Neille).

The finalists will be displayed in a virtual 3D gallery designed by Architeam members. “ArchiTeam has always looked at things differently,” said director Jamie Sormann. “Our members are small practices, who know how to combine open-source tools with cutting-edge design software to deliver outstanding design, so we are always going to be a little unpredictable, in the best way.

“We saw the challenges presented by 2020, namely the loss of the in-person exhibition, and turned them into an opportunity to increase accessibility; and have some fun in the process.”

The virtual gallery will be live from 28 October and winners will be announced on 11 November.
