NSW architects in the hot seat

Join the audience as architects present their projects to the 2013 NSW Architecture Awards juries over two days at Tusculum — 22–23 March.

Jury presentation days for the 2013 NSW Architecture Awards happen this Friday and Saturday 22–23 March at Tusculum in Sydney’s Potts Point. Over two days more than 160 architects who entered this year’s NSW Awards will present their projects to the juries and these presentations are open to the public and interested members of the profession.

Among the Public and Interior presentations are: Waterloo Youth Family Community Centre by Collins and Turner with City of Sydney; Neuroscience Research Australia by Cox Richardson; UTS Great Hall and Balcony Room by DRAW and Martian Embassy by LAVA; and The Wayside Chapel by Environa Studio.

Commercial presentations include: Gladesville Bridge Marina by Candalepas Associates; and Sydney Eye Specialist Centre, Kingsford, by Georgina Wilson Architect.

Urban Design presentations include: The Former Coal Loader, North Sydney, by Hassell; Pitt Street Mall Public Domain Upgrade by Tony Caro Architecture; and Darling Quarter by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (FJMT) with Aspect Studios and Lend Lease [Read a review of the playground area here].

Heritage buffs come Saturday for (among others): the Former Paramount Studios Building by Fox Johnston and Urbis; Lavender Bay Boatshed by Stephen Collier Architects; Taree Courthouse by Suters Architects; Glebe Town Hall by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer; Rose Bay Marina Gangway and Service Pedestals by Allen Jack+Cottier; and Hyde Park Barracks – Reconstruction of Gate Lodge Domes by Clive Lucas Stapleton & Partners.
