Bromic scoops Good Design award for Eclipse portable electric outdoor heater

Launched earlier this year, the Bromic Eclipse Smart-Heat electric portable is a stylish new outdoor heating solution that brings both warmth and light to design-focused outdoor spaces. With its sleek ceramic fascia and dimmable lighting rail it strikes the perfect balance between ambience, style, and functionality.

The Good Design Awards jury commented, “This is an interesting idea and innovative form for outdoor heating. The curved shape positions it outside the usual product on the market and makes it an interior or exterior design object in its own right – rather than just a heating system.”

Each heater can be controlled with Bromic’s Eclipse Smart-Heat remote to accurately adjust the heat and light coverage as required, providing precise control over the level of comfort and ambience.

“At Bromic, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of outdoor heating technology,” comments Josh Maingard, head of product and brand at Bromic Heating. “Our new Eclipse outdoor heater does not only bring light, warmth and comfort to outdoor areas, but also delivers an elegant, yet timeless design that sets itself apart from the competition. Thanks to the new Eclipse Portable, we now offer a full portfolio of gas and electric, fixed mount or portable outdoor heaters, including a dedicated land and sea marine series.”

The Good Design Awards for 2021 attracted a record number of submissions, with 933 design projects evaluated by more than 70 Australian and international jurors, including designers, engineers, architects and thought leaders. Each entry was evaluated according to a strict set of design evaluation criteria, which includes good design, design innovation and design impact.

Projects recognized by the Australian Good Design Awards demonstrate excellence in professional design and highlight the impact a design-led approach has on business success and social and environmental outcomes.
