CINECITY Architectural Film Project

An architectural short film project aligned with the 2013 National Architecture Conference theme of Material invites submissions.

In a fringe event aligned with the 2013 National Architecture Conference (Material), this year’s CINECITY Architectural Film Project invites you to make and submit a 60-second film that explores – in architectural terms – the relationships between the material and immaterial, the real and imaginary.

Louise Mackenzie (founder) and spatial artist Sarah Breen Lovett will co-curate each of the judge’s top three films for screening at Federation Square, Melbourne, on 31 May at 6.30 pm.

Film submissions can specifically draw inspiration from one of the speakers at this year’s conference or judges (below) of the 2013 competition. Esteemed members of the judging panel include New York-based architect Bernard Tschumi, best known for his interdisciplinary enquiry into the relationship between film and architecture, along with:

CINECITY Architectural Film Project was established in 2009, and is run collaboratively in Melbourne and Sydney by architects and film makers.
