Ecocarat tile by INAX

The Japanese-designed Ecocarat tile by INAX can help to control humidity, inhibit the spread of mould and remove odours and harmful substances such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Made from recycled materials – predominantly allophane, a naturally occurring, porous, clay-like mineral – Ecocarat tiles are eco-friendly and certified formaldehyde free. The textured interior ceramic tile is designed to readily absorb moisture, and therefore control humidity and the generation of condensation, mould, bacteria and the propagation of dust mites.

The tiles also absorb toxic, volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde and toluene generated by building materials and cleaning products as well as odours from pets and cigarettes.

Designed for commercial and residential use, Ecocarat tiles are particularly effective in bedrooms for those suffering from allergies, and in bathrooms to replace chemical deodorizing products.

Ecocarate tiles are available in a variety of textures, finishes and tones and are available from Artedomus in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
