Entries open: 2018 Dulux DIAlogue on Tour

Dulux has announced that entries are now open for the 2018 Dulux DIAlogue on Tour – a design tour in collaboration with the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and the Designers Institute of New Zealand (DINZ).

Entry to the DIAlogue on Tour is only open to DIA and DINZ members.

The tour will take five winning design professionals – four from Australia and one from New Zealand – to Tokyo and Los Angeles in August, where they will meet and learn from Japanese and American design talent.

The winners will engage in open dialogue and share ideas and viewpoints with their hosts while showcasing the talent present Australia and New Zealand.

Adele Winteridge, director of Foolscap Studio and 2017 tour attendee, said, [The tour] offered me insight into others’ techniques, processes and philosophies, which govern the ways that they work, and in turn use this understanding to solidify and inform my own practice.”

A panel chaired by DIA national president Claire Beale will choose the recipients of the scholarship. Andrea Lucena-Orr (Dulux), Mim Fanning (Mim Design, 2017 Dulux DIAlogue on Tour attendee), Mark Healey (Bates Smart) and Bernadette Wilson (Cumulus Studio) round out the panel.

Entrants will be assessed on their contribution to design practice and thinking, personal design philosophy and what inspires them.

Entries to the DIAlogue on Tour trip close on 31 May. For more information, go here.
