The Haymes 2012 Colour Expressions Forecast was launched on 12 October. The new palette includes thirty-five colours in seven key themes as well as the Next Generation collection, which incorporates twelve entirely new Haymes colours developed for the specifier market.
Haymes’s paint colour and concept manager Wendy Rennie developed the collection, which is a mix of dynamic, bold and vibrant colours such as fuchsias, purples and yellows, along with neutrals such as greys and greens.
The seven themes and colour trends have been appropriately named to encapsulate the style of the colour groupings.
“Balance” consists of warm subdued tones accented with bright green and yellow
“Investigate” symbolizes discovery and experimentation with unusual colour combinations
“Limitless” features bold, strong colours to add accent to the home
“Introvert” colours radiate peace and relaxation
“Play” is bright, bold blocks of red, orange and green
“Companionship” is a palette of harmonious colours that promote balance and warmth
“Escape” is the colour of holidays and relaxation.
Accompanying these exciting new colours is the New Generation range of soft greys, with an accent of brights that are perfect with stone, concrete and wood. Both these innovative new ranges will allow specifiers to achieve new dimensions in style and design through the creative power of colour.
