The global pharmaceutical and medication delivery company Hospira has a new office that unites staff from three separate locations under one roof.
As a relatively new arrival to the Australian market, Hospira wanted to increase public awareness of its brand and build a good reputation, both externally and internally. To achieve this, architectural and interior design firm Artillery has created a workplace that embodies the wellness values represented by the company. The design aims to promote wellness at individual, team and organizational levels by promoting empowerment, creating comfort and expressing identities, both common and unique.
Nature and the outdoors were key inspirations in creating the new workspaces. The interior planning centres on large areas of flexible open-plan workspaces bounded by storage, collaborative and quiet space, mimicking a river. Individual offices are abandoned for small meeting areas and informal seating clusters around the perimeter of the open space.
Situated in the Melbourne CBD, the office provides a human scale space in contrast to the surrounding skyscrapers.
