Houses Awards entries open

Entries are now open for the 2013 Houses Awards. Presented by Houses magazine, the annual awards celebrate the best in Australian residential architecture, and is fast becoming the favourite national forum for architects to have see their residential work recognized; 242 houses from around the country were entered in the 2012 awards.

Categories of entry are:

  • New House under 200 square metres
  • New House over 200 square metres
  • House Alteration and Addition under 200 square metres
  • House Alteration and Addition over 200 square metres
  • Apartment, Unit or Townhouse
  • Heritage
  • Outdoor
  • Sustainability

Entry is open to Australian-based and international design professionals as long as the project itself is in Australia. Projects must be purely for residential occupation and have been completed between 1 January 2012 and 28 February 2013.

Jury

Alice Hampson (Alice Hampson Architect), Debbie Ryan (McBride Charles Ryan), Jon Clements (Jackson Clements Burrows Architects), Peter Stutchbury (Peter Stutchbury Architecture) and Katelin Butler (editor, Houses magazine).
