Jardan has expanded its homewares collections with rugs, lighting and ceramics.
For the table, a new ceramic serving range has been designed and hand-made in Sydney in collaboration with The Forty Nine Studio. Each piece is different to the next, and is available in Warm Grey, Icy Morn, Teal and Black. A new range of leather placemats complements this set of tableware. A range of lightweight mohair blankets has also been released. Made in Melbourne, these throws come in four styles: Melon, Minty, Dove and Grey Stripe.
The new pieces were launched as part of an event held to announce that Jardan will now offer retail sales directly from its Sydney and Melbourne showrooms.
At the event, which was held in the Sydney showroom and included a fabulous lunch by chef Tom Walton, I spotted a few of my favourite Jardan furniture pieces. The first is the Nook sofa and its armchair counterpart – the slim profile and tapered timber legs make this a classic piece for the home, and the modular sofa can be configured to suit individual needs. The Errol sofa has a similar timelessness, but has more generous cushioning to sink into after a long day’s work.
The elegant Fred coffee table combines geometry with a tabletop of your choice – spotted gum, steel, glass or marble – making it suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, while the Alby ottoman in the rich, caramel-coloured leather is an adaptable piece that softens living spaces. The relaxed style of the Jardan furniture and homewares range expresses an Australian way of living.
