Limited Edition: Prototypes, One-Offs and Design Art Furniture by Sophie Lovell .

In a world of standardized commodities, the demand for unique pieces of designer furniture is steadily increasing. Limited Edition presents a plethora of bespoke designer objects and furniture, but also illustrates a series of prototypes that give insight into the original concepts of the particular object, despite sometimes being a little rough or imperfect. Both the limited edition and the prototype are often handmade or individually machined, and from a collector’s point of view are therefore highly desirable. This book is rich with imagery of prototypes of familiar designs, but also exposes many designs that are only enjoyed by the collectors who own them.
