Architect Peter Lee has received the 2015 Board Award from the Architects Board of Western Australia for his contribution to the built environment, particularly in Perth.

Lee is a principal and board member at Hassell, and has played a key role in recent projects including one40william, Brookfield Place and Perth Stadium, currently under construction.

He has also played a significant part in helping to shape the future of Perth, serving on the Committee for Perth (Reshaping Working Group), the Committee for Economic Development Australia and the Perth Local Development Assessment Panel.

“[Lee] has a deep personal passion for improving the human condition through the built environment,” a statement from the Architects Board of Western Australia said.

“For Perth-based people, this has particular relevance, given that a large number of the architectural projects that he has led have had a direct impact on the changing face of our city.”

The Architects Board of Western Australia selects a Board Award winner annually to recognize architects registered in the state whose contributions have enhanced the public standing of the profession.
