Serif and La Nina by Charles Wilson

New South Wales-based designer Charles Wilson recently launched a new stool and side table.

The Serif stool is inspired by pouring metal and resembles an upper-case letter “I” in a serif typeface. The robust 435-mm-high stool is made from powdercoated aluminium, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor uses.

A version suitable for use at a counter is also available – Counter Serif – with a height of 600 mm.

Both versions are available in yellow, red, blue and orange, and specially commissioned colours can be made to order.

The La Nina table has three slender legs that morph into its top and base. The table comes in two sizes – one with a table top width of 320 mm and one with a width of 370 mm – making it suitable for use as either a side table or a bedside table.

The legs are set to one side so that the table can cantilever over a sofa or armchair. It is made from solid aluminium and painted in polyurethane.

The Serif stool is available from Space.
