Summer residency opportunity for architects at Pin-up

Melbourne-based architects, designers and artists will have the opportunity to work in situ at the Pin-up gallery over the summer period to produce a project or body of work. In consultation with the Pin-up creative team, the output of the summer residency will form the launch exhibition for 2012.

To apply for the residency, applicants must address a set of criteria. In summary, the work should engage with issues relating to architecture and design but does not necessarily have to be specific to the profession. The residency is an open-brief project; ideally, a project or body of work will be produced within the residency time frame.

Benefits of the residency include the opportunity to work within a collaborative creative precinct, access to 140 square metres of warehouse/gallery for the residency period, and curatorial support and marketing management by the Pin-up team.

Initial submissions are due at 5 pm, Monday 24 October. For more information, including full details of the residency criteria, contact Pin-up director/curator Fleur Watson by email or on 0412 914 834.
