Survey to help redefine the great Australian dream

As recent reports attest, the house on a quarter-acre block that many Australians once aspired to is now an unaffordable dream for much of the country’s population. But does this increasingly unattainable goal even match up to our 21st century vision for well-connected, culturally diverse, sustainable and smart cities? A new survey by “small footprint” property developers Assemble aims to determine just that.

State governments in Australia are currently reviewing policies that will have a significant impact on the way we live in years to come. To contribute to that process and understand what makes for great medium and high density living, Assemble is asking survey participants to describe how they live now and how they’d like to live in the future.

The survey can be found here.

In addition to contributing to the debate over housing design standards in Australia, all participants will also get the opportunity to go in the draw to win a weekend at Hotel Hotel in Canberra.
