The Iconic House: Architectural Masterworks since 1900 by Dominic Bradbury.

The Iconic House lines up the most important houses of the past century like a montage of Academy Awards “Best Picture” winners. It’s a compilation of seminal works including Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and the Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe. These houses became models for the modern style, which trickled down through income strata and gradually spanned the globe. Plans and historical information on each of the 100 houses accompany colour photographs.
