Winners announced in the 2011 Intergrain Timber awards

From a state-of-the art Tasmanian resort to a humble Victorian country home, the six winning projects in the 2011 Intergrain Timber Vision Awards, announced on 15 August, impressed the judges with their visionary use of timber.

The Intergrain Timber Vision awards recognize and celebrate the valuable role timber plays in contemporary Australian architecture and design. Collectively, this year’s winning projects embody Australia’s distinct design aesthetic and illustrate the long relationship it has with timber.
