Old School / New School returns to Sydney on 16 October.
The annual Old School / New School conference brings together influential architects, designers, educators and social change leaders to discuss issues, share their experiences and speculate on possible future directions for education design.
Keynote speakers for the 2019 event include: Ian Goodfellow, partner, Penoyre & Prasad and deputy chair, RIBA Higher Education Design Quality Forum (UK); Ruth Wilson, director, Architectus; Julie Wells, vice-principal (strategy and culture), The University of Melbourne; Pasi Sahlberg, Professor of Educational Policy, Deputy Director, Gonski Institute for Education, School of Education, UNSW; and Karl-Martin Buch Frederiksen, partner, Kant Arkitekter (Denmark).
There will also be three case studies presented: Andrew Burges Architects’ vertical daycare centres, Kerstin Thompson Architects’ Northcote High School Performing Arts Centre and Cox Architecture’s Fortitude Valley State Secondary College.
