Australian design: Ten years of the Peter Fogarty Fund

Australia’s design elite come together in an exhibition at Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA), 16 August 2014 – 9 March 2015.

Celebrating ten years acquisitions made possible by the Peter Fogarty Fund, as well as the twenty-fifth anniversary of the gallery, the collection of exquisite craft and design objects range from a knitted backpack by Allysha Coughlan to a polished steel chaise lounge by Korban/Flaubert. The works include:

  • Jewellery by Mari Funaki, Cinnamon Lee, Helena Bogucki andSally Marsland
  • Furniture by Jon Goulder, Khai Liew, Dinosaur Designs, Korban/Flaubert, Penelope Forlano, Tomek Archer and Christopher Robins
  • Ceramics by Kirsten Coehlo and Robin Best
  • Glass by Jasper Dowding
  • Stationery and vessels by Daniel.Emma

“The Peter Fogarty Design Collection is a vibrant display of some of the finest craft work in the country,” said Stefano Carboni, director of AGWA.

The Fund was initiated in 2004 by AGWA Foundation governor Tim Jeffery in memory of his late partner Peter Fogarty to celebrate his life and his enthusiasm for design.
