Front Door

Front Door is a snapshot of images recollecting the story of the Northbourne Housing Precinct as part of the rich social and planning history of Canberra. The exhibition, held at the Gallery of Australian Design, will run from Friday 6 November to Sunday 29 November 2015.

The exhibition features housing ideas from Canberra design competitions, drawings of the Northbourne housing tyes as well as early photographs of the buildings and social life of the precinct. A blog about the complex and and a flythrough of a contemporary public housing proposal also form part of the Front Door exhibition.
