Rex Dupain: Colour of Bondi

Photographer Rex Dupain has been capturing the sights and colours of Australia’s most iconic beach since the 1990s. The Colour of Bondi series from his collection is concurrently exhibiting at Michael Reid gallery in Sydney and Berlin, in association with Josef Lebovic Gallery.

Characterized by intense and saturated colour, Dupain’s subjects epitomize the sun-blessed beach life that Australia is famed for around the world. The photographs in this series capture intimate details of the lives of Bondi beach-goers as well as broad-brush views of the sand and sea.
