Sunshine Coast Open House 2019

Queensland's Sunshine Coast Open House is a free public event celebrating the region’s architecture and offers behind-the-scenes access to selected buildings and the Coast's built environment.

This year, the 2019 Open House program is expanding to a full weekend, with 30 participating buildings across the Sunshine Coast - including 13 buildings new to the program, an Open Forum and a Panel Discussion on Friday night.

Join five guided walking tours, including boardwalks in Noosa and Coolum; heritage tours in Moffat Beach and Caloundra. Visit an Artist’s Studio, and an Artist’s Talk and a Kids’Art Attack at Caloundra Regional Art Gallery.

Bring your camera or phone along to Sunshine Coast Open House and enter the 2019 Focus on Architecture Photography Competition. To enter, visit participating Sunshine Coast Open House buildings allowing photography on Saturday 19 October & Sunday 20 October and snap your winning photo. there are two categories: Focus on Architecture Competition, and Secondary Student Photography Competition. All entries will be judged on three criteria: Creativity, Quality of photography, and Significance to architecture. Prizes are courtesy of Queensland Timber Flooring.
