Unveiling the new Melbourne School of Design

Melbourne School of Design will officially open its newly completed faculty building designed by John Wardle Architects and NADAAA on Friday 12 December, 2014. To celebrate, the school is inviting the public to explore the new facility described as “a theatrical building to inspire students.”

In an Open House style event, students, staff, alumni and industry professionals will be given a first look at the new building. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the new buidling’s design features including library and workshop space, the Dulux Gallery, Hansen Yuncken suspended studios and the Y-stair. The celebrations will also include performances by students from the Victorian College of Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
