John Wardle, Shearer’s Quarters – Our Houses talk

When architects design for themselves: A talk by John Wardle in Robin Boyd’s South Yarra home engages two classic Australian houses.

Join architect John Wardle for a discussion about his Robin Boyd Award-winning Shearer’s Quarters on Bruny Island, Tasmania. Fittingly, this latest in the series of Our Houses conversations by Houses magazine takes place in the 1958 house Robin Boyd built for his own family at 290 Walsh Street, South Yarra.

The project received the 2012 Robin Boyd Award for Residential Architecture from the Australian Institute of Architects and the 2012 Australian House of the Year at the Houses Awards.

Presented by Houses magazine, Our Houses is a series of informal public talks that brings together clients and architects to discuss the collaborations behind great houses.

This talk is supported by the Robin Boyd Foundation. Places are strictly limited, so book early.
