Our Houses is a nationwide program that offers architecture enthusiasts the chance to go behind the scenes to see how architects collaborate with their clients.

This event is coming to Brickworks Design Studio in Adelaide on 4 September 2019.

Sydney architect Ian Moore will discuss Redfern Warehouse with his client Kao Castle, founder of a company that does genetics testing for horse owners and breeders. The house transforms a two-storey warehouse into a family home comprising an internal courtyard. The upper level houses the living accommodation while the lower level includes an equine genetics laboratory.

Local Adelaide architect Marco Spinelli of Architects Ink will discuss PR House with his clients Paul and Ren Gerard. The design of the house is a modern approach to the simplicity of a bygone era and features enduring materials. It has space to be together and apart as well as connections between inside and outside via a generous balcony.
