Anne Watson

Anne Watson has an MA in Fine Arts from Sydney University and was formerly curator of architecture and design at the Powerhouse Museum. She has written and lectured widely on design and curated numerous exhibitions including Beyond architecture: Marion Mahony and Walter Burley Griffin (1998), Marc Newson: design works (2000), and Utzon’s Masterpiece: the Sydney Opera House (Utzon Center, Aalborg, Denmark, (2008). Her publications, as content editor and contributing author, include Beyond architecture: Marion Mahony and Walter Burley Griffin in America, Australia and India (1998) and Building a masterpiece: the Sydney Opera House (2006, 2nd edition forthcoming 2013). She is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Architecture, Sydney University, researching the post-Utzon history of the Opera House, and is content editor of a forthcoming book on Griffin’s Sydney houses.
