Ancher Mortlock and Woolley merged in 2013 with Queensland practice Conrad Gargett Riddell. The new firm, Conrad Gargett Riddel Ancher Mortlock Woolley (CGR AMW) will continue to operate from the AMW’s Sydney office and CGR’s Brisbane and Townsville offices. Bryce Mortlock, Stuart Murray and Sydney Ancher joined forces in 1952 to create Ancher, Mortlock and Murray. Ken Woolley joined the firm in 1964 and the company became Ancher, Mortlock, Murray and Woolley. The firm changed to Ancher, Mortlock and Woolley when Stuart Murray left in 1975. The firm includes a team of architects and urban and interior designers, and has produced significant buildings of enduring character.
